Ughh.GST has increased from 5% to 7%!!!The gov says they want to focus on lower-income groups. And what about the middle class?I listened to and watched the PM talk last night on CNA and he mostly mentioned the lower-income groups and the well, rich people. He only spared one line for middle class. My mom says to pay all the bills now, when the...thing...hasn't been implemented yet.
I have been spending my days watching some stuff I digged out from my DVD and CD collection. So far I am done with:
1)The Lakehouse(Warped romance. Two people in different times meet through a,uh,magic mailbox. It sounds stupid when I put it like this,I know, but whatever.)
2)Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind(Jim Carrey in one of his most serious roles opposite Kate Winslet's character named Clementine. Another warped romance. They fall in love, get mad at each other, breakup, can't forget each other and erase their memories of each other to be happy. And then they meet again and they fall in love again!)
3)Batman Begins(Christopher Nolan's masterpiece before The Prestige.Katie Holmes disgusts the hell out of us and is the only flaw.Free Katie,I say.But Christian Bale is...hot.)
4)Dirty Dancing (yeah, well, nobody puts Baby in the corner. And the dancing is really dirty. But otherwise it is entertaining.)
5)Amelie (Audrey Tatou looks much cuter here than the slightly frumpy Sophie Nevou in The Da Vinci Code. But why are the French obsessed with Princess Di and sex?It can't be true.)
6)A Very Long Engagement (Audrey Tatou again! With one of the most handsome French guys I have ever seen.Wow.Anyway the handsome french guy is her fiancee who gets sent to war and never returns again.so she looks for him.tada!)
7)Underworld (I just like the scene when Kate Beckinsale leaps off the tower and lands on her feet.)
And today, expect me to watch The Merchant of Venice.
i thought the world of you
